The Harvest School
Homeschool | Homestead
We are transitioning into a Private School
Prek-12

Our Goals
Our goal is to cultivate a safe and enriching learning environment for children through nature, play, and a rich curriculum. Our mission is to inspire children's curiosity and interests in innovative ways. We have the vision to harvest the skills of each student while we embrace their self-awareness growth and nurture their social-emotional needs. We strive to weave homesteading into our daily learning and routine.

Rich Curriculum
We have a 2 room school cabin on 150 acres. Our lead teacher has 10 years of classroom experience, served as lead teacher in multiple districts, has 4 college degrees in the arts, general education, special education, leadership/administration.
All students will be exposed to grade level content, assessed with common formative assessments, and have small group and 1-1 learning experiences.
It is the mission of The Harvest School to fuse nature and homesteading with rich academic curriculum, daily.
Nature & Homestead
Along with the 150 acres to explore with rivers and creeks running through it, we have natural wildlife and a barnyard.
The Harvest School encompasses cows, horses, chickens, pigs, along with wild turkey, deer, raccoons, otters, fish, and so much more.
Students and staff will garden outdoors and in the greenhouse. They will learn homesteading art such as harvest canning, sewing, preservation, and cooking.
Social-Emotional
The entire day is based on learning and interaction with nature and each other. Students enjoy sitting around a campfire and in hammocks at the peace square, trail rides and walks, rock hunting in the creek, arrow head searches in the fields, and so much more.
We strongly believe that all humans have the ability to learn. We know that it is in the most safe and comfortable environment, they learn best.
